Are you ready to thrive as a leader in your ECE centre?

Are you ready to thrive?

You are in the profession of Early Childhood Education because you want to make a difference in the lives of our tamariki, our young children.  You know just how important it is to invest your time, care and attention to our future generation.

Now you’ve progressed to the next stage in your career: Leading and managing a team.

It’s getting harder to juggle the demands that come with a leadership role, and align the range of responsibilities with that first love of teaching.

There are days where you feel overwhelmed, out of control and don’t know how to find balance. This I where I come in.  I can help you gain clarity and perspective, and help you to regain your footing.

How I can help you

I know all too well what it feels like to juggle the demands of teaching with managing a team. The time pressures, the administration, the paperwork, the meetings, managing your team and so on. The demands come from everywhere and can lead to overwhelm.

Looking back at the younger “ME”, I wish I had a mentor to help me find the best way to thrive and grow.

Learning to lead is lifelong learning.  Leaders and managers often have to face leadership challenges in isolation.

Mentoring and coaching offers private and confidential learning conversations in which specific professional goals are identified and achieved through a mentoring and coaching process.  You may have recently been promoted into a leadership or management role, or facing new leadership challenges on your own.   A professional mentor can be a sounding board to help you bounce off ideas and frustrations as you find solutions to leadership challenges.  As your mentor, I will help you in this process, and guide you towards reaching your leadership goals.

Reach your goals. Teach to inspire. Lead with confidence.

Based on sound pedagogical principles, the online series of leadership development courses are designed to: develop your self-confidence; lead alongside others with confidence; recognise and identify your own skills, strengths, and abilities; self-identify areas for your ongoing personal growth and professional development; promote and support the growth and professional development of your teaching teams; equip you with relevant skills, knowledge, tools and strategies.

Teacher wellbeing matters.

Teaching can be stressful and teachers’ wellbeing is seldom prioritized. Teacher wellbeing has a significant impact on schools, teachers and students. Many of the negative effects of low wellbeing are well publicised, with stress or burnout being linking to attrition and the resulting teacher shortages worldwide and in New Zealand.  Teachers are the most valuable asset to schools and the communities in which they work, functioning at their best when a sense of wellbeing is nurtured. This space offers a sense of community, a space where we can give and gain support to and from each other.
